My weirdest dream.

I'm going to blog about this dream I had while I was sleeping last night. It went like this...

I got on a bus with my friends dog and when I got off the bus, I started walking until I came to this really tall wall with three circle holes that I could crawl through and get to the other side. I crawled through and when I came out the other side, there was a street. It seemed like it had been greyscaled using a photo editor, suddenly my friends dog grew to be as big as Godzilla and she ran away so I had to go and look for her. I never managed to find the dog, even though it was as tall as Godzilla shifting through the city. After that I woke up.

It was so weird.

Mr mobile blogger.

So i'm writing this from my phone. Will I ever need my PC again? College and life in general are both going great. I get funding for bus fares and things too. £30 plus a term isnt bad. I'm finding the assignments ok once I get into them. The people in my classes are nice too, I have only started to remember their names past week. We have a laugh. I cant believe how quick this year has gond since college started. Tomorrow is a day of nothing judging by the rain on my window. Hopefully i'll be able to go out without getting wet feet in a few days. I ordered my new Converses, navy coloured. I hope they arent kids size 13. I have been at my friends house a few times last week. It was really, we just watchee movies and saw a car crash!

I'm off to bed now, goodnight to anyone who reads this.

First days of college

I've been at college two weeks now and it's going alright so far, but I am a little shocked at how many assignments there's been. So far I have had five of them! One was handed in today so i'm down to four now. We have one that's 1000 words, welcome to the world of college again, I guess! I am confident about being able to do them though, so it'll be alright.

I haven't really made any friends yet, I would like to, but I'll see, it's only the first two weeks and we have the whole year to make friends. I have talked to people, but not to the point of adding them as Facebook friends.

Another thing is that I thought there'd be a few more people my age, most of the people are 30+ and there's only one other person the same age as me, where are all the young people?! Really?

I haven't got lost anymore, in the first week I did quite a few times but i'm alright with finding the rooms now, it feels good to get my life back on track. It's better than sitting at home all day, too. It doesn't feel like my life is going to waste anymore.

That's basically it about college now, I have my lever arch file, my plastic wallets and I've already lost my ruler!

Grammatics final ever gig at The Brudenell, Leeds

It was Friday the 20th August in Leeds at The Brudenell.

I went to this gig because they had been one of my favourite bands of recent times and since they were splitting I wanted to show my support like I had the other two times i'd seen them live. This was by far the best Grammatics gig I went to out of the three. I remembered The Brudenell from when Franz Ferdinand played there, the footage was on their DVD.

I got the train down to Leeds and was there within a few hours, I got lost in Leeds once and was walking through Leeds in the pouring rain, my clothes were soaked. I had to get a taxi to the hotel or else I would've probably never even got to the gig at all! When I got to the hotel I got ready and made my way straight to the gig because I didn't want to miss anything.

I arrived at The Brudenell near enough at 8PM, the hotel to the gig wasn't that far of a walk. When the first band came on, These Monsters I had a headache so loud music wasn't what I wanted, but my non headache self would like them. The next band on after These Monsters was Blue Roses, I was already a fan of their music, so that was another good thing about this gig. I went down towards the front for this one, so I could listen. Then finally it was time for Grammatics to come on, when they came on everyone started clapping, whistling and chanting loudly. They were totally amazing, i'm so glad that I decided to go to the Leeds gig, I just want to re-live this gig over and over because it was so brilliant. One for the scrapbook!

I think this gig is going to be remebered for years to come by fans of Grammatics.

My cinema experience

A little while ago I went to the cinema for the first time since 2005, the last movie in a cinema I saw was Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. This was for my friend's 16th birthday and until Inception came along I hadn't seen a movie since then. We went to Vue in Princes Quay, I went because I thought that I should go to cinema because i'm not the biggest fan of them ever. I don't see the point when:

  1. It costs quite alot, to see Inception it cost £5.20 for one person.
  2. Then there's the price of food and drink which is normally a £3 plus for a drink and the popcorn around the same price.
This makes the total price of going to the cinema: £11.40, if you add bus fare it's easily more than the cost of a DVD. I didn't include bus fare though. A pre-order DVD on Play.com is £9.99 for the cheapest.

Anyway...

When I was buying my drink from the drink place or whatever it's called? I was.. I don't know. I paid for my drink and walked off without taking it. I don't know why I did it, I just wasn't used to how things worked in a cinema. I hadn't been since 2005!? Someone passed me my drink and the man who served me asked if I was alright, like I wasn't all there in the head. That was embarrassing. On we went into the movie, I did enjoy the whole time I was in cinema. I was really excited about it all the way through and I thought Inception was fantastic, all the special effects were amazing and in the end I thought it was a good movie overall. It did confuse me at the end, although it'll never beat Toy Story 3.

My day out to Beverley

So, I went to Beverley last week on the 15th June. I went there because I just had this thought about Beverley and how i'd not been there for a very long time. I also think I went because I wanted to get away from Hull for just one day and I loved it! It was one of the best days out i've had in a while. Beverley is just a small town about 20 minutes out of Hull, I just took the train at paid my the fair which was a very cheap £5.50! I got off the train and started walking. I ended up at the town centre. So walked around here and went in a few of the art shops even though I had no where near enough money to buy anything from them! That's one of the things that I liked about Beverley that day, the art shops. There was quite a few of them about, small art shops.

After walking looking in the art shops I moved onto this church and behind the church was a sort of memorial garden for the soliders who died in one of the World Wars. I walked around the garden for a while, taking pictures of the memorials. The second thing I liked about Beverley were the charity shops there. I went in three of them and bought Frankie Boyle's book, a small statue thing we had in our house about 10 years ago, 2 cups and a calendar for my bedroom.

One place I do remember going to is Beverley Minster. It's the biggest of the churches in Beverley and I spent about 20+ minutes in here looking around at all the things, I took a few pictures and then decided it was time to find the train station and go home. I had a bit of trouble finding the train station again so this really kind old man who lived in Hull a while ago told me how to get there, he was even going to walk with me to the station and said to me "come back to my house if you get lost!" so I thought that was really kind, but I found the station OK.

So in the end I found out that I love Beverley and it's on my list of brilliant places in Yorkshire!

I love Beverley.

Bucket List - Just some things I want/want to do.

I started by putting a few things down in my phone everytime I thought of something that would be cool to do or have. Now I've come this far and have a few things for my list. I didn't want to put the obvious ones down, like being in a long relationship, getting married, having kids, getting a good job. I wanted to keep it to the unique ones. I still want to do all that stuff I listed above.

1. Go to a gig(live band) with someone other than myself - I always end up going to see bands on my own when other people go with their friends. I only go on my own because none of my friends like the same music as me, so they wouldn't want to go see the same bands.

2. Write my name/put my hands in wet cement - This is one of the main things that I would really like to do. It just looks like a really good thing to do for the sake of the memories I'll have, and I'll be able to look back at that time.

3. Travel to more than 10 countries before I turn 30 - I just want to do this because I've hardly been anywhere out of my current location, so this would be a good thing do, even if it's only for a week!

4. Buy a Sombrero - I have no idea why I want to do this, I just do.

5. Have a memorable summer - I don't really thing I've had a good summer that I will remember when I'm old and grey, so I'd like to have one.

6. Live somewhere with a good sunset - Where I live now has a good sunset, but it's not in my room so I can't really see it. Just a sunset where you can just sit and watch it from a chair in the garden. It would be so amazing.

7. Go bowling at least twice a month - Bowling is something that I really like, I have no idea but I would just like to play it often with friends. I would right now, but I don't have many friends.

8. Write a song - I have tried writing songs before, but I always end up thinking they look stupid and delete them. This is one thing I'd like to do in my life.

9. Go to a Basketball match - I would just like to see a Basketball match, just to see what it's like and because I like sport.

10. Go to a Baseball match - Again, I want to do this because I like sport, so I'd like to see another sport other than Football(Soccer)

11. Run my own record shop - I would just find this really good to do. I would just sell CDs/Records, etc and be a small local shop.

12. Own a Volkswagen Type 2 - I just really like these cars, so one day I'd like to own one.

13. Own a 1957 Chevrolet - The main reason why I want to own one of these cars is because I think they look really nice. It would have to be a convertible.

14. Start a scrapbook - I would just update everytime I did something interesting or went somewhere worth scrapbooking about. It would be good for memories, too.

15. Create and maintain a successful website, I have tried making websites in the past but given up in the first five minutes. I would probably make a website about the music scene where I live.

16. Complete my music collection as much as I can before I die. I will never be able to fully complete it because I will obviously hear new music in the future, years away from now.

17. Buy some rainbow roses, I found out about rainbow roses through Stumbleupon and I need to own some of these! Prefrably some Red, Blue and Yellow ones. Primary colours and all that. They'd look really cool!

The end.
