My cinema experience

A little while ago I went to the cinema for the first time since 2005, the last movie in a cinema I saw was Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. This was for my friend's 16th birthday and until Inception came along I hadn't seen a movie since then. We went to Vue in Princes Quay, I went because I thought that I should go to cinema because i'm not the biggest fan of them ever. I don't see the point when:

  1. It costs quite alot, to see Inception it cost £5.20 for one person.
  2. Then there's the price of food and drink which is normally a £3 plus for a drink and the popcorn around the same price.
This makes the total price of going to the cinema: £11.40, if you add bus fare it's easily more than the cost of a DVD. I didn't include bus fare though. A pre-order DVD on Play.com is £9.99 for the cheapest.

Anyway...

When I was buying my drink from the drink place or whatever it's called? I was.. I don't know. I paid for my drink and walked off without taking it. I don't know why I did it, I just wasn't used to how things worked in a cinema. I hadn't been since 2005!? Someone passed me my drink and the man who served me asked if I was alright, like I wasn't all there in the head. That was embarrassing. On we went into the movie, I did enjoy the whole time I was in cinema. I was really excited about it all the way through and I thought Inception was fantastic, all the special effects were amazing and in the end I thought it was a good movie overall. It did confuse me at the end, although it'll never beat Toy Story 3.
